The weather is changing, the kids are back in school, and football is back on our televisions!
Even though it's not 'official' until the 21st, the beginning of September unofficially marks the end of our summer.
I know, I know...
All of those days of beach volleyball, drinking on patios, and summer street festivals are behind us for another year...

I know, I know...
All of those days of beach volleyball, drinking on patios, and summer street festivals are behind us for another year...
But...Let's look on the brightside...
There are LOTS of wonderful things to look forward to about Fall (Autumn)!
In fact, the more I think of it, the more I realize that this is my favorite time of the year...
Hey Green Day...try, 'Wake Me Up When September BEGINS!' :)
I am taken back to those ridiculously fun high school Friday nights, wearing our light jackets and hoodie sweatshirts, while sneaking in our 'Purple Passion' to the football field to cheer our team on.
Ah...Fall!
We are just around the corner from my favorite treat... a Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte! Ooh...I can't wait!!!!
I am getting so excited just thinking about sipping on this delicious tasty joy! (I also spend WAY too much money on these things, but it is worth it!)
And, of course...FOOTBALL! Whether it be College football or the NFL, I am looking forward to chilling on the couch, watching some riveting games on those brisk chilly days that I don't want to go outside...
Plus...I captain a fall flag football team which starts in a couple of weeks! I can't wait to spend my Saturday mornings out on the field with good friends...
I have to get me some Chicago Bears tickets! Ebay, here I come...!
On a personal note, the Chicago Marathon takes place in the fall, and it's something that I am looking forward to, as I have spent my entire last few months training up for it.
And...you can't forget the grandaddy Fall event of them all...HALLOWEEN!
Oh, yes!!!!!!!
Halloween is my ULTIMATE favorite holiday. Ooh, that reminds me...it's never too early to start thinking about this year's costume. Hmmm....
I saw Halloween candy on the shelves at WalGreens already. Wow...it'll be here before you know it!
SO...there are plenty of reasons to stay in a good mood even though Summer is fading, and as we are approaching the Autumn Equinox.
Now...I need to go buy a new comfortable sweatshirt!
And if anyone wants to donate their extra BIG SCREEN TV to watch the Bears on, thank you in advance. :)
Those are some BRIGHT ASS Jerseys. Wow.
ReplyDeleteJake, if you think it's bright on the photo you should've seen them in person! They look like Highlighters!
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, we are switching to a less 'neon' color this year. :)
The Starbucks by my house started serving their pumpkin spice drinks today. I get excited about it too!
ReplyDeleteI am sad to see summer go. Especially being we never even had a summer weather wise. UGH.
ReplyDeleteBut I do love fall. The cozy-warm weather. The incredible colors. And I think men look so damned sexy in the clothing. The bad thing is that winter is coming. I'm not ready.
Here in New England, we have the fall colors to look forward to. And don't forget hockey season starts in October!
ReplyDeleteOh yes...Hockey! GO BLACKHAWKS!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate you for making me think about Fall!!
ReplyDeleteYou love me, Anna! :)
ReplyDeleteWhether you think about it or not, it's coming! hahaha!
Pauly, I went to get a Pumpkin latter today, thanks to you! It was very good. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey, don't forget I'm still here in d-town, going to all those HS football games...so if you need a "date" (one complete with husband and two kids under the age of four, no less!), to the DeKalb/Sycamore game, just let me know :) Heaven knows I'll be there in my Black and Orange :)
ReplyDeleteLove Fall, Love Paul! Love the Blog!!!
