Today was the last day at work for one of my favorite coworkers. In this rough economy she was one of the lucky ones to find a new position that pays more, and has better benefits. Yes, I am TOTALLY jealous!
However, i didn't really find it that hard to say goodbye. It could be that she will only be working 20 minutes down Michigan Avenue from me. But it's probably because I know where to find her...on Facebook!
This is the 'plus side' of social networking sites. All i have to do is click on her profile and find out what she has been up to. At this very moment, she is "enjoying a turkey Manwich sandwich." Ah...see, it's like she never left....
I'm sure it will be a little weird at work tomorrow without her sitting in the desk next to me, (even though most of the day we chatting through Instant Messenger...weird, i know.) I'm sure it will feel like a giant hole, as if there is something missing...
When that happens, i will just look her up online to see that she is "off to see Night at the Museum Battle of the Smithsonians" or "watching a Chelsea futbol game..." or some other great adventure...
C, you will be missed.
Paul you are amazing!! That was so sweet of you. I'll miss you guys too. I still ended up crying anyway. I've never been posted in a blog before. This is pretty neat. We'll see each other soon. I have to keep you up to date on T-man remember:-) Keep blogging :-) C
